Movies (Wild Child, Yes Man!, Forrest Gump)

Alright, time to update my blogggy again! And my weekends seems to end pretty fast by watching lots of movie, and going out with Jin Jie.

Yesterday, I went over to meet Jin Jie to pass him my 512MB laptop RAM for his company laptop and to watch some movies. =]

The first movie I watched for the day is “Wild Child” by Emma Roberts (Poppy Moore).

It’s a show of an Amercian girl going to a boarding school in England and how much she dreads of going there. Her room mates hates her because she looks like some kind of spoil brat and slowly they began to start bonding when they are planning on how to get Poppy Moore expell. She was upset after she got back from a trip with Freddie because her room mate was reading an email sent to them by her email and it seems that Freddie received the same email as well. She was very upset that noone seems to believe her and she went to kitchen and call her best friend, Rudy. That was the time she realized that this best friend of her actually dislikes her. She was upset and accidentally set fire to the kitchen’s curtain and hastenly putting out the fire and rush back to her room. After a moment later, the kitchen was on fire. And Poppy went to the head mistress and confess. After some investigation by her room mate, they realized that they have mistaken Poppy so they got the whole school to confess that they were at the kitchen when the fire started. Harriet accidentally lets out the secret about Poppy using a lighter which only Poppy and Freddie knows. And Poppy was proved to be innocent and Harriet was expelled. And Poppy’s dad was shocked to see the changes in her and how much she looks like her mum.

Not too bad. But this is definetely a very girl girl movie lah. So guys might not like to watch it.

Next movie I watched is, “Yes Man!” by Jim Carrey @ JP.

It’s about Carl Allen (Jim Carrey) who always say ‘No’ after divorcing with his ex wife. And bumped into a friend who then drags him to attend a talk to become from a “No Man” to a “Yes Man”. He was challenged to say “Yes” to everything, leading to some hilarious scenes.

It’s not too bad also. If you wanna have a good laugh, go watch it!

And the last movie I watched for the night was “Forrest Gump” by Tom Hanks @ Jin Jie‘s house. I think this movie is about 3 hrs long, because by the time I went to bed was like 5a.m already (BTW, I started watching the movie about 2a.m?).

It’s about Forrest Gump who seems not to understand what’s going on. And everyone sees him as a stupid person. These people laughed at him for putting on a leg braces and in order to escape from these people, he lose his leg braces and begin his running. His only best friend was Jenny whom he’s in love with. And during his army days, he got to know a guy, Bubba, who’s really good at shrimping and had actually talked Forrest Gump into going to shrimping with him. But Bubba passed away in Vietnam. And Forrest Gump went on with the shrimping and during a storm, only his shrimping ship survived while the rest of the ships are wreaked. And Lieutenant Dan joined him as his crew.

The story is touching and kinda funny. And this movie was screened in 1994. =.=||| Slow I know, but I still managed to watch it! Muahaha.
