The Last of 2023

Time passed and it’s coming to the end of 2023.

What have I achieved so far?

I have changed my job last year and now I have been working in Singapore Institute of Management for almost 2 years (2 more months to 2 years). Life has been good to me. We went for a few holidays, Japan in May, Taiwai in August, Europe in November/December and ended my holidays by attending a wedding in Hanoi.

Let’s probably begin sharing from beginning of the year?

Home Improvement Program (HIP) took place in Mar/Apr’23 and we had to move our cats to our friends’ house because it’s gonna be dirty and dusty at home. And thank God for their help, we managed to get through the difficult part. Totally in love with the new kitchen!

New kitchen! ๐Ÿ˜

We went to Japan for 10 days during the HIP. And it’s been awhile since we went for a holiday since COVID. We spent a good 10 days in Tokyo.

1) Went to have our Ichiran Ramen

2) Went to Hakone

3) Went to TeamLab Planets

4) Went to Monster Hunter Cafe

5) Went to Mipig Cafe

6) Went to Disneyland

And other many other places! And also we made a new friend in the homestay we were staying.

Work has been busy and I am in the Recreational Committee this year. And we planned for the SIM Family Day. This year we went to the new opened Bird Paradise!

Bird Paradise Waterfall

Maiden trip with Vivien to Taipei! This time is to catch Hebe Tien’s concert! So glad that we managed to get her concert ticket! We had truly enjoyed ourselves with the eating and shopping although it was a short trip.

Celebrated my birthday with my favourite people! ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿฅฐ

My ex-colleagues from NUS ISS and my lgg~

Then it’s our long awaited Europe trip! It’s filled with excitement, anxiety, fun and laughter! Seeing snow for the first time, and it became our nightmare when the train was disrupted, day trip to the Disney castle cancelled because of the road condition and we almost couldn’t make it to Salzburg due to train disruption.

Took Business Class for the first time! I couldn’t ask for more. It was the best experience I had (except when the yoghurt splashed onto my clothes and hair) and there is a hole in the luggage. Experienced snow for the first time and of course we gotta build a snowman!
There were many people at the train station waiting for the train to Salzburg. But sadly, the train was cancelled the whole day, and we have to make a last minute hotel reservation nearby the train station so we can rest for the night and make plan on the alternative route to Salzburg. Thank God! We managed to book a bus (but we have to split into 2 groups because of the limited number of bus tickets)
No photos in Salzburg because we were literally there for a night, and we moved on to St Anton the next day. We were in luck when we were told there will be a Devil’s Parade at St Anton. It was scary and funny that we were laughing and screaming at the same time when the devil came to us and whipping us. After that, we moved on to Luzern! And a passerby came and join in our group photo! How funny is that!
Then it’s time for the mountains! Went to Mt Titlis for some spectacular view. Explore the area around our hotel and we head to Interlaken. Paragliding was cancelled due to bad weather, so lgg improvised his own paragliding. And he also finally tried the cheese fondue.
Went to Lauter Brunnen and it was drizzling. So we just walk around, took some photos and head back for the day. Finally went to Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe! It’s freezing cold -14 degrees outside and the snow was like literally slapping our face and the fear of falling down the slope. But we truly enjoyed the magneficient view!
Time for another mountain! This time, it’s the Matterhorn! We almost thought we won’t be able to see the mountain because it was cloudy when we reached, and the train was disrupted due to strong wind. Lucky we had a long brunch, and by the time we wanted to leave, the train resumed again! The magneficient view of the mountain.
Moving on to Montreux and finally see the flying Santa LIVE! We went to Bern old town, it was beautiful. And we totally forgotten that bears hibernates in winter so we can only take photo with the bear figurines. And then we went to Zurich. Visited many Christmas Markets this trip. And I am loving it!

Everyone in Europe that we met are really nice! There was a guy who told me the entrance of the hotel while we were standing at the traffic light. There was a lady who offered to help us take a group photo. We are definitely very blessed. After our Europe trip, we went to Hanoi for my lovely friends’ wedding! I am so happy for them!

After touching down from Switzerland, we quickly head back home and re-pack our luggage for Hanoi. By the time we reached hotel was around 7ish pm, so we head out for dinner and a massage and then rest for the night. The next day was our friend’s wedding. And bumped into Jessie Hoo and Wankey! Stay blissful my friends! I love you guys! Thanks for having us!
Joined in the after wedding party. It was new experience (never clubbed in Vietnam before). It was always great to catch up with old friends and/or colleagues. We will probably be back in Hanoi since we spent most of the time sleeping (due to jetlag and shag-ness from the Europe trip). Then it’s back home to our cats!

Really thankful for colleagues who covered me during my long holidays. And I wish everyone best in health and wealth in the coming new year!

Lunar Holiday Day 3 ็™ผๅ•Š๏ผ

Happy Family

Day 3 of lunar new year and last day of the long public holiday. Geez. Had a rather chillax day, waking up at 1pm (cause we slept at 6plus in the morning after a night of battle with mahjong ๐Ÿ˜€ ). Watched a couple of episodes of “Sex Education” on Netflix and headed out for super late lunch. After lunch, went back home to prepare for lunch, and guess what? I cooked bak kwa fried rice (includes leftover luncheon meat and caixin). I must say my friends and Laogong are very spontaneous, they finished the fried rice (although some of them have already had dinner before coming). ็œŸ็š„ๆ„ŸๅŠจๅˆฐ… Played a few rounds of Ban Luck and then we had lohei!

bak kwa fried rice with luncheon meat + caixin

Then we continued our Ban Luck, and great! At least I won 30 cents at the end of the game. I guess, I am really not suitable for gambling. ๐Ÿ˜€

Needle Felting

And recently, I was quite into needle felting. Have been watching quite a bit of youtube video on this. And was so intrigued to try. So I went to Taobao and bought some needle felting kit. And I must say, it’s really cheap and good. So I bought this Line Friend – Lion Brown and try. Not too sure if I did a great job, and I think it looked a bit funny with the long body. So what do you think about my 1st needle felting work?

Lunar New Year Day 2

It’s been donkey years since I have last changed the look of my blog. So I have decided that since it’s a new year, I should do something about it. ๐Ÿ™‚

I am not too sure if this look is good, but only time will tell. ๐Ÿ˜›

Anyway, it was Day 2 of Lunar New Year, and as always my family gathered and planned a visit to our Aunt’s house. And of course, a mandatory photo of us. It’s really nice to see your family growing. ๐Ÿ˜‰ And soon, my eldest niece will outgrow me (in terms of height).

They say wear ang ang bo hai lang.

After that, we went back for some mahjong and of course steamboat! What’s lunar new year without steamboat? ๐Ÿ™‚ And then me and Laogong went to my sister’s place for 2nd round of mahjong. I guess, I still don’t have the luck to play mahjong. =| But it’s all the fun we seek right?

Happy Lunar New Year!

Happy Lunar New Year 2020 from Teo Family

Happy Lunar New Year to all!

It’s been awhile since I have updated my blog, and I hope I will have more time to do so in the future.

Time passed so fast, and now we are in the year of Rat. The beginning of a new cycle. Hopefully this year will be good.

Looking back, I have changed to the new job for almost a year now. Time passed so fast. Work wise, it was good and manageable. Most of my colleagues are nice too. And it so happened that I am working with some of my ex-colleagues from PSB Academy. Such a small world!

And I am really thrilled because we finally revamped the extra room which I called Chouchou Room. No more messy room! Yay~

20200112_135208[1]
Chouchou Room

We went to Ikea to purchase the shelves and DIY-ed ourselves because it’s really waste of money to get them to fix the shelves (which is additional 15% of the purchase item price if I want them to help me fix!) Laogong helped me set up all the shelves and he also bought me a Secret Lab chair (below is the video of our noob assembly of the chair.) This room serves as a working space, and partial storeroom since we didn’t have one (previous owner teared down).

We have to reenact the unboxing because I only realized I didn’t press the record button after laogong opened the box. ๐Ÿ˜›

My lovely goldfishes

And thank you Laogong for the beautiful fish tank with so many beautiful goldfishes. He’s been supporting this new interest of mine since the beginning and I am really thankful for that.

Now our house looks so perfect, what more can I ask for?

It’s been a Long Time!

Hello! It’s been awhile since I last update my blog. And I am back updating because I have gotten a new laptop (actually for a few months already, hahahah!) now! ๐Ÿ™‚

Life has been good to me thus far. What I am going to post now is gonna be a super late post, but who cares? Since it’s MY space.

WE GOT MARRIED! And our wedding was on 14 May 2017 which happened to be Mother’s Day. We held our wedding at Hotel Fort Canning, and the services provided was awesome. It was really enjoyable and great to have everyone, important to us, around. Our Emcee Ming Wei and Chanel did a great job! I would highly recommend them for weddings! And we are really thankful to all who were involved in the wedding, making it an enjoyable event. What would we do without any of you?

Pardon for squeezing so many pictures in one collage. There are simply too many photos to share, and it’s reallyย  headache to choose what to post here and not to bore people with too much photos.

Last but not least, thank you Laogong for being there when I need you. Thank you for for giving in to me most of the time. Thank you for everything. Although we have some disagreements at time, but it doesn’t mean I don’t love you or I love you less. I love you everyday, and forever.

Why should I bother?

Right, the title and the content of this blog usually differs. This shouldn’t be a secret anymore.

One moment I was telling myself, why should I bother since I have already made the decision a few months ago. Then next moment I keep wondering, am I really that bad that he doesn’t love me anymore?

But then again, truth really hurts. Especially when my imaginations set in, it made things even worse. I started to ponder and question myself what went wrong. But obviously, our characters differs too much. And everything became worse. Both of us made a hasty decision to get married, and now we are gonna have our separate lives soon.

Then why made that decision in the first place?
Noone in the right mind would wanna get married and the next moment divorce comes into her mind. It happened to me a couple of times in the past few years and finally this divorce is taking place. It wasn’t really what I want it, but really its beyond my tolerance. I cannot be in a marriage when both of us seems to be living separate lives. He claimed he was trying to give me the freedom, but I say because he doesn’t love me. Any couple would wanna do things together regardless their differences. He said he doesn’t like my other group of friends, fine. What about those times that I was sick at home? He will go out with his friends. Even when I wish to sleep early, he will keep the lights on and then tell me that I can sleep with the lights on. And then unwillingly switch off the lights. Seriously, if I wanna have my so-called “freedom”, why do I wanna marry him in the first place? Being single, I will have all the freedom I want.

After Vday 2014, he took me for a Staycation at RWS (he insisted on having one), he went casino because he said I’m napping and promised to be back for dinner. I waited, called for room service and he only came back around 1plus am. And when I told him my unhappiness, he told me this is a one-time mistake. Seriously, I don’t buy this story. This is one mistake that he shouldn’t have made in the first place. Prior to that, he didn’t even bother to talk to me until we checked in.

Knowing that he doesn’t love me, and was trying to ‘keep’ this marriage, I am disgusted. One moment he was trying to ‘save’ this marriage, another moment he starts to agitate me with his nonsense. I should know it better.

To everyone, he is the person who wants to save this marriage and I’m the one who insisted on getting the divorce. Only God knows the truth.

Probably we are not ready for each other. This marriage happened for a purpose, I supposed.

Obviously my parents objected my decision to divorce. And for this, I resented them for pushing me too much. Of course I know they are trying to have my best interest. But by respecting me, is the greatest support of having my best interest.

I have been sitting in the park for a couple of hours, writing this entry. I am trying hard to keep clam. Its not easy to keep calm, especially being alone. Lucky, there are people who are willing to listen to my rants. All I need is a listening ears, why keep on rebuking me? It doesn’t make me feel better, it made me feel worse in fact. Sometimes I wondered who are my real BFF or do I even have one to begin with? When I cried a river, I will definitely feel better.

And no, I don’t regret my decision. I wish him all the best with his new gf. I just wished he is man enough to admit that he, too, doesn’t want this marriage anymore instead of pretending. I strongly believe if a man wish to keep his marriage, he wont have another gf as soon as I moved out his house or it probably started after I filed for divorce in April.ย Of course, I am not trying to be saint here. My biggest mistake is I spent too much money (which he loathes) and now, I am fighting within me. And most importantly, I gave him too much trust. Now then I realized why he kept forcing me to tell his parents and mine when I didn’t want to. And why he kept asking me how long the process will take and the house. He was trying to give the impressionsย to our parents that he tried to ‘save’ this marriage, and I am not willing to give him a chance.

Well, lets have hope for his next marriage and I really hope this time round he is not going to marry her just because she is another Christian girlfriend (probably a Christian, because he say same faith = same thinking). That’s what he has been saying to me, he married me because I am a Christian, not because he loves me. Same faith = same thinking. Sorry, most of the time I cannot bring myself to compromise to his weird and selfish thoughts.

And to those who came for my wedding, thanks for those well wishes. It just didn’t turn out the way it should be. Probably in the future I will take my own sweet time to decide on the man. This time round, it was rather impulsive, I would say.

The reason I’m upset is because I can’t believe I am with him for the past 5 years, wasting my precious youth. And came to know his true colors only now. I know I will have a better life without him once all things are settled, debts paid. I will learn from this lesson, never trust a man (a man who doesn’t does what he preach. A man of words) like him. Should have insisted when I first mentioned divorce in 2011. And I will open my eyes wider the next time ifย I ever gonna jump into marriage again.

And I have a sudden thought that once everything is settled, I do not want to stay here anymore.

You guys won’t understand, because it’s not meant for you to anyways. I just needed a space to rant, and this is my spot.

And oh, I didn’t know Wilson Teoย and his gf were together for a few months until 2 – 3 days ago. God knows when this r/s of his started.

Catherine’s Wedding | Jeremy’s birthday

11 January 2014 – Catherine’s wedding

Catherine, my ex-colleague from PSB Academy, got hitched!

I guess, everyone has one touching, unforgettable moment of their life. And I always find these 2 moments damn touching

1) Weddingsย
From proposing, to wedding preparations to wedding speech. And I always find the wedding speech by the groom or the bride damn touching, never fail to make you tear. In the future, if my kids decided not to hold a wedding banquet, they should at least have a wedding party! Provided I have a kid.

2) Having your own kids
Although going through the labor part is tough, it’s a joy to welcome a new member to the family. A family is completed with kids. Kids bring joy to the house, although they can be really mischievous and drive you crazy!

Nevertheless, I am happy ย that she found her happiness. ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a blissful marriage, and have a baby soon! ๐Ÿ˜€

19 January 2014 – Jeremy’s Forever 24 Birthday!

It’s ่€ๆฟ’s birthday once again! It’s always a headache to think about what to buy for the person. And so, we got him a Samsung Note 10.1 2014 Edition.

Hope he finds it useful. ๐Ÿ™‚

Now that Arene is no longer with us, it’s still so weird without her. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Arene, we miss you!

25.08.2013 – Siblings day!

It was a pretty exciting weekend for me last weekend! Had our first outing at ECP – C.Y.C.L.E. But can you believe that none of the girls can cycle (except for FFM). ๐Ÿ˜›

Met up with them at Carl’s Junior and we had our brunch there as well.

Pretty little Estelle with style wearing my shades. Isn’t she adorable?

Does me and my sister look alike?

She came by and took a photo with me.

Alyssa, naughty monster who kept hitting my butt!

Since little Estelle is too young for bicycle, she will have her ride with her Daddy. ๐Ÿ™‚

My brother and his gf. ๐Ÿ™‚

After cycling for an hour, we went to Carl’s Junior to take a rest. Wanted to go prawning but Alyssa keeps whinning, so we changed the plan to bowling! ๐Ÿ˜€

My younger sister bowling for the first time.

Which I think this is our first time bowling as well! Hahah!

Yup. That’s us. Missing kor kor. He couldn’t come because it would be difficult for us to take of him since he can’t cycle and bowling was an impromptu thingy.

I hope there will be more activities like this in the future!

Awesome week!

I had a very awesome week!

Wild Honey on Awesome Monday!! Which means it’s ALL-DAY breakfast!

This is really heaven! Eating such delicious breakfast for dinner, I feel like I am in heaven! Haha! Ok, I know this is totally very exaggerating! But still it’s really nice. And we bought Gong Cha bubble tea after the heavy breakfast, by the time I reached home. I couldn’t move a inch anymore. Too full. ๐Ÿ˜›

Hot chocolate and hot mocha! ^^

My European breakfast. Topped with cheese, and egg underneath the cheese, surrounded by bacons. Under the eggs are my favorite mushroom! ^^

The guys had the English breakfast! It’s really filling! There is bake beans, sauage, bacon, eggs and mushrooms! ^^

ไฝ ่ฏดๆˆ‘ๅˆฐๅบ•ๅนธ็ฆไธๅนธ็ฆๅ‘ข?

————————–

Went to JB on Saturday with my besties! To do nails for my wedding this coming Saturday. First we had our lunch at a Korean BBQ restaurant!

These are the amount of side dish served. I love the kim chi, and fish cakes!

Seafood hotpot, pancake, BBQ beef, and BBQ pork. ๐Ÿ™‚

The good thing is there is someone BBQ for you. ^^

Can you imagine that this seafood hotpot is bigger than our face?! We were really shocked by this! And there’s a crab in the hotopt! And guess how much was our bill? It’s just RM187!! Can you believe it? ๐Ÿ˜›

We did our nails at Holiday Plaza. The service there is really good! Peili couldn’t go with us so she requested that we include her in this photo. LOL.

We went to massage, and lok lok for dinner! Everything is just sooooo cheap there! Cannot help it but to go again! Soon pls! ๐Ÿ™‚

Cute little Alyssa who always want me to help her tie her hair. ๐Ÿ™‚

I just had a very fantastic weekend! More of these please!

Beautiful Thursday!

A big welcome to my new addition, my Labbit named San San. In case you are wondering, San San is actually hokkien which means skinny. ๐Ÿ˜›

Took a day off yesterday! So I decided to drop by my sister’s house to see baby Estelle! Isn’t she adorable? Anyways, we decided to head to town for lunch and my sister can do some shopping for the baby. What a relaxing Thursday!

My sister say little Estelle likes sleep in this position. Just like Alyssa when she was a baby. Or babies like to sleep in this manner? Hmmm..

On our way to town, I was told to sit in the middle since there are two baby seats in the car. And lucky me, I’m skinny enough. Do you know how much space was left when you have two baby seats at the back? Haha!

She’s soundly asleep.

High tea at TWG~ I am not a tea person but the tea there is nice! Unlike the one I had in Taipei. The one I had in Taipei is chinese tea, the one I had in TWG is more English tea. Which one is better? I think it’s all about preference! And I think both is fine. The different thing about chinese and English tea is, Chinese you brew the tea yourself and you enjoy the process of doing it. I had my fun brewing my own tea when we went up to Mao Kong (็Œซ็ฉบ) to enjoy the scenery and the breeze. Totally different experience all together. ๐Ÿ˜€

And now my sister wants to play Patapon. She say the music is irritating but then once you start playing, the music just imprint into your mind and makes you think about it. Haha!

Some warm chocolate cake with ice cream (tea flavour) on top. Not too bad, but you might consider sharing because the chocolate is very thick!

Jie Fu had this muffin.

There is no place without Chou Chou. ๐Ÿ˜€

See this little baby still sleeping thru out the lunch till high tea session! ๐Ÿ™‚

Me & my sister!

And our day just end here. Fast isn’t it? Time passed so fast and then it’s time for us to go home because they have to fetch Alyssa from the child care center. It’s really cool to spend time like this; just by doing nothing! No places to rush, no assignments to do (ok, I do have and it’s due on next Monday!!) and relax! But it’s also time to come back to reality – WORK and STUDY. Really can’t wait for December to come; that is if our Hong Kong trip is confirmed (nothing is confirmed until you buy the plane ticket!!).

And then I went to meet bf for dinner. Steamboat at Roxy Square basement one. Not too bad, but it’s not buffet. With air con and the space, I think it’s still not too bad. The chicken soup is good, the tom yum is not spicy, that’s why the bf insisted on eating this. Tom yum is my favourite. ๐Ÿ˜€
