Went to watch “Watchmen” last night. And it’s really kinda boring because there is so much talking! And for every character, there is a story why they became what they are, people who hides behind a mask. Riots, wars. U.S. and Soviet wars. Nuclear bomb. Atomic bomb. Killings. Guns. Authority.

“By sacrificing a few millions of people, you save billions.”

The plot:
Set in an alternate 1985 America where tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union are high and the Doomsday Clock is set at five minutes to midnight, former superhero turned vigilante Rorschach discovers that one of his former colleagues has been murdered. As he investigates the murder he uncovers a plot that is intent on killing and discrediting all past and present vigilantes. As he reconnects with members of his former crime-fighting legion, including Nite Owl II, Silk Spectre II and Dr. Manhattan, they uncover a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy that not only links to their shared past but has catastrophic consequences for the future.

Perhaps, I am not very into talking “superheros”. I like superheros with action pack. Haha.

Anyways, I am so frustrated over my personal affairs and I think it’s driving me nuts. Every single day, I think how I should treat Teck Yong. Every single day, I was reminded of what he said previously. Every single day, I have fear in me. Every single day, I can’t sit still. Everyday, my thoughts will slowly wander and my heart told me something which I don’t wish to hear. What I can do right now is, I think this friendship should end. It shouldn’t start in the first place. It really hurts to watch him go. Just like everyone else, no one stay.

I realized I will not hesitate to kick away guys who throw his tantrum at me for no reasons. Which means this applies to Teck Yong too.

I realized very often when I got mad over something, that the accused (the one whom I am mad with) in return accused me. And this is so horrible. I am angry and he got angry because I am angry, things got worst. Whatever it is, I am just so disappointed with his attitude towards me. So what he did apologized to me? I told him I am not going to wait for him anymore. Be it his SMS replies, or when we go out. After perhaps even after such SMS the chances of us meeting up will be lesser. I just don’t understand WHY guys are behaving this way. I mean, are they trying to tell me that I cannot be mad at them? Or I can’t show my temper a bit? I mean, I will do the same to anyone who keeps me waiting all the time. He’s not an exception what. What is worse is, he even know that he’s wrong in the first place and he was arguing with me. Whatever. So tired from waiting. Seriously. What am I waiting for? Some thing good or some thing bad? Just so, whatever really. I will not SMS him anymore. But I miss him leh. Stupid right? Whatever.

Anyhows, I meet up with Peiwen for dinner @ JP today. Yup, Haven’t seen her for a long time and the last time I saw her would be in Oct last yr. *OMG* Yes, it was really that long. And we had our dinner @ Feast (located at JP2 level 3) and after that we walk around (I mean WALK, literally) JP and went to McCafe for a drink and then WALK again. After that I head home because I am feeling tired already. And working? It’s fun lah! Hahaha. =P Maybe I will try to take a pic of the baby rabbit and post it up here. =]

Ok, I think the previous entry is a little unfriendly. So I will re-write this and talk about my first day at work! Oh my, it was so exciting. And I am pretty touched when people starts to wish me luck since last night and this morning.

And after quarreling with Teck Yong last night, he SMSed me this morning to wish me luck and apologized for throwing his tantrum at me. First of all, I don’t see why I can’t be mad at him. Second of all, why should he be mad at me when he’s first at fault? Unless you are telling me, being early is my fault then I will accept it. But hell no! But, what he said last night can’t be taken back. These words are like salt, rubbing to my wounds making it worse. And I feel like I am dying any minute. But lucky for me, I did not put much emotions into this whole thing. I still can be cured. Nevermind about this whole Teck Yong thingy. It’s hopeless.

Back to what I want to say, I woke up around 6.45a.m and lie on my bed and nuah before I get up and take my shower. After that I had my nutella (with bread of course) and then by the time I finished my bread I still have some time left before heading out my house. I went out of my house ard 8.05am and waited for close to 20 minutes, 3 bus 99 came by and the ONLY bus 242 was filled with people. Left with no choice, I went to ake bus 243/181. This is so horrible can? And what makes my morning worse was, there is a train DELAY! what the hell right? So I was almost 10 minutes late for work. Lucky, Stella (HR Executive) has to handle those interns first. LOL. After the briefing by Stella, me and my new colleague (Catherine) took a cab down to our workplace! We met up with our Reporting Officer (RO, Lawrence) and P.K (Assistance Manager).

First day is normally the orientation. So Lawrence took us around to familiarize with the environment, and I must say there’s too many names to remember. I wondered how he remember those 100 plus people’s names. We had lunch nearby. And I was actually feeling very sleepy after lunch leh. But I managed to hide my sleepy face. And yes! I met up with my 1st interview interviewers, Mary and Mechelle. Which I don’t have to intro myself, they still can remember me. -.- I don’t know if I should feel happy or what. After that I am attached to Shah until 5.30pm but I only left the place around 6p.m. And then I reached home, had dinner and went to JP to meet up with Rebecca.

And now, it’s time for me to sleep. Because I have to report work @ 8am! Ciaoz!

Ok, this is the 4th movie I have watched this week. Haha. That’s quite a lot! And I will be watching lesser movies when I start work tomorrow! So looking forward to that ok? =]

Anyways, I went to watch “Marley and Me” @ JP with Teck Yong. The movie is really touching towards the end of the movie when doctor gave an injection so that Marley will go in peace (after old age). That’s so sad. And I cried. Damn. Such scenes never fail to make you tears. Really touching. And it’s really hilarious at how Marley can try to tear down the whole place (ok, I am being exaggerating over here).

I am sitting in my living room right now, feeling so flare up at myself. I am so mad at myself that I don’t know what to do anymore. Why is it so? I realized that I am not a magnaimious person. Because I was very mad at Teck Yong for being late for almost half an hr. Not that I want to spoil the day, I just can’t stand people not informing me that they will late. Not that I am an eye for an eye person, but rather there is a limit to what I can stand. And for today, my tolerance level is very low. We quarreled over MSN. I told him I bumped into Jin Jie today. Not that I am harboring any thoughts of being with him again, I minded more about why I bumped into him today after I have been dreaming about him for days. And then, I think this is the ending of a friendship between me and Teck Yong. Because he feels that I gave him attitude over a small little things. He thinks that I like to bully him. He thinks I am a liar. And then …………… this is the end?

ARGH. Just feeling so fucked up that I can’t even blog properly.

I dreamt of him this morning.

And I bumped into him @ the bus stop.

Got into the same bus, but I chose not to sit beside him. Am I not generous at all? After all, he was the one who tapped on my shoulder when he saw me at the bus stop opposite my house. Sigh. Why do I see him again? I feel like my emotions are mixed up again.

I am so fuck up now.

I dragged myself out of my bed at 9a.m because I have to go for my medical checkup today. The HR person had resent me the authorized form else, I would have done that anytime during the weekday. Nevertheless, this is my FIRST medical checkup. So I had to go thru the measurement of my height and weight, do a color test, check on my eye sights, give them my urine samples, xray and worse of all, drawing of my blood. Ok, as far as I am concern, I think this is the first time the doctor draw my blood. And it’s really pain. And the doctor asked “why are you scare of pain?”, I was quite speechless at that moment because I think it’s a norm to be scare of big fat needles. I had to drink 1 whole bottle of mineral water to get my urine sample. When I was done with everything it was almost 12noon! Damn.

I reached home, watched youtube and then Teck Yong called me around 1.30p.m and jio me down for a last minute singing session. Wanted to jio Darling also since she jio-ed me on Friday but I decided against it because it was really too last minute. So we met up at Clementi Kbox (Ivan and Wei Xiong was there too) and realized their rooms are filled up and the next available will be 5.30p.m. So we decided to go somewhere else that’s taman jurong’s Partyworld. Nothing much. No pretty pictures to show off. I realized my world is revolved around watching movies, singing and drink coffee. Else maybe I will just cam whore a bit. I want my life to be more exciting leh. How? I really miss those times when I just hang out with a bunch of people doing nothing but still having fun and most importantly, I love to go out early and head back home late and tired. But… that doesn’t happen to me leh. Sometimes I really missed going out with Jin Jie & his friends. Because I think they are funny people to hang out with. But sadly, we don’t do that anymore.

What would you do during your free time? For me, it’s very straight forward. Accompany my lil’ sister to JP to buy some stuffs (like boxes of tissue papers, air refresher and what every girls needs during that period of the month, yes, PADS). And if someone asked me if they want to meet up for dinner and then movie, I agreed. So after shopping with my sister, I meet up with Sze Tien since Edwin is going home for dinner. Had dinner @ Benten and then booked the tickets online since we couldn’t reach Kean Lee at that point of time. Yes, I went to watch movie again. And guess what? This is 3rd movie for this week.

“Slumdog Millionaire” is what I watched today. I have been wanting to watch this movie when I first saw the trailer. And I am not that racist lah, why miss out a good movie just because it’s by some ‘bollywood’ actress/actor? The director is a BRITON by the way. Whatever it is, I shall talk more about this movie before I am side tracked. =]

The movie is about a boy named Jamal who grows up with his brother Salim. Their mother was killed in a hindu-muslim riot. And then Jamal commented that the little girl who followed them will be the 3rd musketeer. They were ‘resued’ by Maman (who uses the children he picked up on streets to beg) and thinks he’s God sent. One night, Salim was ordered to bring Jamal in to make him a better singer (blind) so that he will get more money. They escaped from Maman and Salim purposely let go Latika’s hand. After a few years, Jamal decided to go back to Mumbai to look for Latika and found out that she is a brothel and training to be a dancer/prostitute. When they tries to escape but was stopped by Maman. Salim took out a gun and killed him. They went to seek refuge and Salim went to Javed wanting to work for him. After that he claimed Latika for his own. Then, Jamal and Latika was separated once more. Jamal then work as a teaboy in a call centre which he then looked for Latika and Salim’s whereabout. Jamal got in contact with Salim (who invites his brother to live with him) found Latika when he tailgating Salim. Jamal urged Latika to leave with him but was rejected. Jamal then inform Latika that he will wait for her at the train station everyday at 5p.m until she comes. On the 1st day, she came to meet Jamal but was caught by Salim and gang (who then slashes her face to scare her). Jamal then appear in “Who wants to be a millionaire” because he knew that Latika will be watching. Jamal uses the last lifeline and calls his brother’s cellphone which was then picked up by Latika. They did not know the last question’s answer but Latika told him that she believe it’s written. Then Jamal won 20 million Rupees and caught up with Latika. And of course the movie ends with the usual bollywood dance.

Nice! Should really watch it if you have not done so. Of course, I didn’t write everything about the movie down here otherwise it will be pointless right?

I bumped into people whom I have not seen for ages! Oh my. First I bumped into Ray while I was having dinner with Sze Tien. Then while walking, I bumped into Chun Wei whom I have not seen for ages! And the last person I bumped into was Weikang. So fun because I don’t usually bump into so many people at JP at all. I know why! Because JP looks bigger now. I mean after the extenstion, there is definetely more reasons for you to go JP because there is a 24hrs fairprice xtra which is now my favourite place! Haha, and most importantly, JP has got almost everything you need! What more are you asking more? And I finally know why my netbook is more expensive after doing some research. It’s because I have a graphics card ok (nVidia GeForce 9300M GS which is switchable to the intel built in graphics card) which is not found in other cheaper netbook. I have a HDMI port which is not available in most netbook. 2 years international warranty. 3 USB ports. Whatever lah. Just stop saying my netbook is EXPENSIVE.

Ok lah, it’s almost time for me to sleep because I have to wake up early for my medical check up before I start working next week. Ciaos!

Ok, I think I am so lag in updating the movies I have watched for the past few weeks. And of course, I have been watching during my leisure time because it’s the cheapest entertainment I can find. Whatever it is, I watched a few movies over the few weekends. So perhaps, I can share with you what’s nice and what’s not.

I will start with “The curious case of Benjamin Button” by Brad Pitt. This story is about a baby who was born in a body of 85 years old. And when everyone thinks he’s dying soon, he gets younger and stronger each day! He got closed with a girl named Daisy whose grandmother was living in the nursing home. And he decided to work for a term long at the tugboat with Captain Mike (which Daisy told Benjamin to send her postcards from everywhere) and during their free time, Captain Mike brought him to brothels and pubs. While Daisy became a very successful dancer along the way. And she was very upset when Benjamin fell in love with a British woman who was married but continues to have an affair with him. After that Benjamin meets up with Daisy again, this time after Daisy met up with an accident ending her career in dancing. They did not get married officially, bore a daughter whose name was Caroline and Benjamin who believes that he can’t be the burden for Daisy decided to leave. He came back looking for Daisy as a youth. And on the day he passed away, he became a baby in Daisy’s arm.

The movie itself is long, and you might think it’s draggy because after all the whole movie is just about Benjamin Button’s unusual life. Of course, the summary is not everything, because it will be too much details if I were to write it here. So watch it for yourself.

Next, “Valkyrie” by Tom Curise. The movie setting is in World War II. Focusing on July 20, 1944 ploted by the Germans to assassinate Adolf Hilter and to use Operation Valkyrie national emergency plan to take control of the country. Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg became the mastermind in planning the assassination of Adolf Hilter. He plants the bomb in the meeting with Adolf Hilter and leave the scene before the bomb exploded. And have activated the Operation Valkyrie and was in the process of taking over Germany and most importantly Berlin. As night falls, the rumor death of Adolf Hilter was cleared when he addressed the nation via radio. And the operation was failed and the people who are involved in this operation was arrested and shot to death.

It’s a real life story. How many people have the courage to assassin someone who great powers (let’s not mention the poor presidents who got assassinated during visits to somewhere else.. because for some reasons, it’s seems much more easier to assassinate the president in the past than assassinating Adolf Hilter.) and the best thing is, it’s so hard to kill him even though he’s so near. Whatever it is, I am so glad that WWII is OVER.

And the next movie we talk about will be “Bride Wars” by Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway. The movie is about 2 young girls became best friends and swore to have their wedding at The Plaza. And now that they are in their late 20s, their boyfriends proposed making them realized that they are closer in fulfiling their dreams. Now things turned out bad because the wedding planner made some mistakes and thus making their wedding on the same day. Not willing to give in, the friendship between them turned sour. So, they came up with ideas to make themselves look the best on their wedding day and of course, they tried to sabotage each other’s plan to look good. On the wedding day itself, Anne Hathaway decides that her boyfriend loved her old self and attends Kate Hudson’s wedding. The movie ends with Anne Hathaway married to Kate Hudson’s brother.

It’s a girlie show lah. But it doesn’t turn out to be as funny as I thought it will be. Teck Yong says it’s not realiztic because girls won’t just be best friend again in just spilt seconds. Perhaps he’s right. Haha. Perhaps if I were to quarrel with my best friend some day, I don’t know when I will be talking to them. Like, I wasn’t very happy about the Partyworld incident, I haven’t really been talking to the girls. So broken hearted can? =[ Their MSN buddy isn’t me.

Next movie will be “Outlander“. Ok, this is a sci-fi movie. Quoted from Cathay: During the reign of the Vikings, Kainan (Caviezel), a man from a far-off world, crash lands on Earth, bringing with him an alien predator known as the Moorwen. Though both man and monster are seeking revenge for violence committed against them, Kainan leads the alliance to kill the Moorwen by fusing his advanced technology with the Viking’s Iron Age weaponry.

It looks like an human (an alien look alike human) came from an unknown world a.k.a outer space, whose space ship crushed into earth. And what makes it worse was the space ship brought an alien predator which looks like a dinosaur that GLOWS. Outrageous it looks to me. Totally crap. And I think I am good enough to give it 2 stars.

And all the movies, I watched with Teck Yong. Haha. He’s my singing kahkis + pool kahkis + movie kahkis. But I’m definetely not his bowling kahkis because I am super lousy at that.

I have finally catch the movie “He’s just not that into you” today with Sue. Have been wanting to watch this movie since last week and I think Teck Yong might not be too interested to watch this with me (i personally thinks this is a very girlie movie) but I know he will still watch it with me if I really want. =] Nevertheless, the movie is about girls (or women) looking for love. Their motto: it’s either we married or we break up.

When a guy told you “it’s nice meeting you” and doesn’t calls back, he’s not interested in you.

When a guy told you “what’s the best that happens to me today is me knowing you” and you exchanged name cards during happy hour, he’s not interested in you.

If a guy is truly interested in you, he will take whatever it takes to date you out.

Ahhhh, so sweet isn’t it? The movie is indeed a bit too long. It’s 2 hrs without realizing. Oh my. But the story line, I think it’s kinda predictable.
